Artisan Glass Seashell, Watermelon Tourmaline and Cultured Sea Glass Necklace by Forest of Jewels
When you first look at the beautiful shell on this 19 inch Y necklace it is hard to tell that it is glass. I had the pleasure to get this beautiful bead from glass artist, Marcy Lamberson. I love the beach and the sea, so it was fun to create a piece that reflects that part of me.
To highlight the soft pink inside of the shell, I used light rose cultured sea glass rounds and added my signature touch of sparkle with light rose crystal rondelles. The soft nature of the shell is reflected in the range of colors in the watermelon tourmaline rounds. They range from a soft opaque, to pink and then shades of brown. Those natural gemstones reminded me of looking at a shell still wet from the sea.
Artisan Glass Seashell, Watermelon Tourmaline and Cultured Sea Glass Necklace
Hello! Thank you for taking a few minutes to look at my designs! I have been creating jewelry for over 10 years and love making special pieces that allow the wearer to add a statement about her style or who she is through her jewelry. I live in rural FL, so many of my designs are inspired by the nature around me. Many of my designs include crystals, because I believe everyone needs a touch of sparkle in their lives!

I started creating jewelry back in 2006 as a creative outlet. At first, I would make pretty items to give as gifts for friends and family. Soon, I was entering contests and being asked to sell my designs. So, Forest of Jewels was born! I've always loved sparkly things, but now that I live in a rural part of North Florida (Yes! I actually live in a forest!) I have added a lot of nature to my designs. Rural Florida is lush, covered in a mixture of pine, oak and a ton of smaller bushes and palms. It also has an incredible carpet of wildflowers in the spring. I try to capture what is around me in my use of natural gemstones and earthy colors. But because I still have a love of sparkle and classic jewelry designs, you will also find a lot of pieces with a feminine, classic look. And of course, lots of sparkle!
